Global Health Rehabilitation Initiative (GHRI) Student Committee

The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy Global Health Rehabilitation Initiative is a community of students, faculty and clinicians actively engaged in capacity building initiatives at the intersection of global health, rehabilitation and disability.

Indigenous Health Professional Program (IHPP)

The goals of the Indigenous Health Professions (IHP) Program are to train more Indigenous health professionals and to teach all future health professionals about the health needs of Indigenous peoples. The IHP Program has been developed through consultation and collaboration with Indigenous communities in Quebec, leaders of successful Indigenous Health programs at other Canadian universities, and other McGill departments and  programs.

Student Widening Participation Commitee (SWPC)

The Students’ Widening Participation Committee (SWPC) is a sub-committee of the Widening Participation Committee, which is mandated by the Faculty of Medicine’s Office of Social Accountability to develop, implement, and monitor programs and initiatives aimed at increasing the participation of under-represented populations in the application processes of McGill’s health professional programs. 

 

The SWPC is mandated by the Widening Participation Committee to cultivate and facilitate robust communication and cooperation as related to the mission and mandate of the WPC: (a) between learners and faculty and administration within the health professional schools; and (b) between learners across the health professional schools.

Widening Participation Commitee (WPC)

The Widening Participation Committee is mandated by the Faculty of Medicine’s Office of Social Accountability and Community Engagement to develop, implement, and monitor programs and initiatives aimed at increasing the participation of under-represented populations in the application processes of McGill’s health professional programs. The Committee shall make recommendations regarding best practices for promoting diversity, equity and inclusiveness in student recruitment, including the dismantling of unnecessary barriers to health professional education and training.

Grad Committee

Every year, the grad representatives may ask their cohort for volunteers by creating a commitee. This is at the discretion of each representatives and is dependent on the year.
